They were wrapped in elastic bandage to facilitate their removal and the soil that filled them left intact. These will be excavated at a later date. After removing cat. 331, the vessel along the northern baulk, it was noted that there was another ceramic vessel directly behind it to the north. This other vessel sat directly beneath the huge siliceous quartz breccia boulder which lay just to the north of the excavated unit.
