Site 119

Houy Loun A, Houy Loun village. This site was visited and geolocated by Skopal and Bounxayhip in 2020. They recorded nine limestone jars across three groups, in various states of preservation, positioned along a ridgeline over a distance of ca. 650m, with views over the lower lying areas. The first group contains seven jars. Approximately 120m to the Southeast of the first group lies a single jar (Group 2). The final group is a ca. 480m to the Southeast of Group 2, containing one jar, which has been pushed down the slope from the raised ridge by locals due to forest clearing. There were likely more jars in this group, with multiple pieces of broken jar found in the area. Across the three groups, the majority of the jars had an undeterminable rim type, although some displayed a flat or Recessed Inner type. There is no observable stone source in the vicinity.
