The matrix at surface of 1:6 became
heavy clay, reddish brown in colour (2.5 YR 4/4)
There were no artefacts recovered in this 10 cm
spit and eroded weak red (10R 5/4) mudstone was
further uncovered to the southeast of Jar 0022,
presumed to represent the bedrock. One feature was
recorded, a group of three small stones along the
north baulk and labelled as 1:6 Feature 1.
No stone aside from that in features was recovered in
the spit.
